Mixed Martial Arts

The term mixed martial arts is used to describe the mixing of boxing, muay thai kickboxing, wrestling and brazilian jiujitsu in a competitive sport expression. Made for sport, there are time limits, rounds and rules.  One may compete in a cage, a ring or a platform.  Rules change around the world but the most standard ones they share are, no low blows, fishhooking or pinching of the skin.  No Biting or headbutting.  It is a method for the complete martial artist to test his skills in a format where he /she will be called to use the varied tools of each martial art.

This format is followed by teaching the skills of standup on one day, the ground skills and grappling portion on another day, and combining them in a mixed martial arts drilling and sparring day together. Blending the Total Body Submission Grappling with the Way of the Warrior Muay Thai gives the competitor the tools and conditioning needed for this sport.
